We are Trans Acro

a collective of transgender, transsexual, and gender-expansive acrobats with shared values rooted in working towards collective liberation.In addition to being acrobats, we are healers, educators, social workers, and community builders dedicated to teaching connection, collaboration, trust, and bodily autonomy through accessibility-centered somatics and circus arts.We believe that the revolution lives in our blood and bones, and that by moving our bodies together with intention and care, we can catalyze political movement in ourselves and our communities.As trans and gender nonconforming artists, we hold unique perspectives on power dynamics within the circus community, and are dedicated to addressing inequities that are prevalent in even the more "progressive" acrobatics, circus, and movement spaces.
